Back in the 90s, I was the kid showing up to the first tee with bleached spiked hair and baggy pants. I loved the game, but I hated the uniform.

I just wanted to play for fun, but the "rules" said I had to look like everyone else. I was forced to tuck in a stiff, boring polo just to get on the course. I felt like I was wearing a costume.

The Evolution

Fast forward to today. I’m a dad, a designer, and a developer. The bleached spikes might be gone, but the attitude hasn't changed.

I looked around the pro shop recently and realized nothing had changed either. It was still the same stiff collars and the same "country club" vibe.
